I woke up today with a bit of a surprise in my inbox, when I checked my email, with notification that I had a couple of my photos featured and published in the latest edition of the Cosplayzine Magazine. For those reading this post its posted, that would be the May 2019 Edition.
I had never approached or submitted any of my work to any magazines for publication, so back in mid-April, I decided to take the chance, a leap of faith, not really expecting my work to be accepted. Especially, considering the calibre of other cosplay photographers around the world. So, I submitted the images and moved on, not holding my breath or waiting with anticipation.
So, you could probably imagine my excitement when I found the email in my inbox this morning. I was in a state of disbelief and almost uncontrollable excitement. I can almost imagine what an athlete in the Olympics might feel like getting a medal, when they are up against the worlds best on a global event.
The photos I submitted to Cosplayzine Magazine were two edits I did of BrieKaye Cosplay last year at Brisbane Supanova of her Warrior Queen Ariel. So, Once again I thank Brie for shooting with me and also giving me the green light to submit these two edits.
If you’re interested in getting a copy of the magazine, it is available following this link.
